Started playing the guitar at the conservatory in Ecuador, later became the guitarist of the band Van Mozard with the number one hit Decidete. In Germany, he then became a member of the bands Abgelehnt, Sexto Sol, and Los Jacintos. Besides founding and actively playing guitar with Rumba Santa, other current band projects include Denegado and SonSonero.
Razz began his musical performances with the guitar, from which he took a break after about six years and switched to the electric bass at 18. After his first bands in Schleswig-Holstein, he moved to Hamburg in 1989, where he mainly made waves in the session scene but also played in several pop, rock, soul, and rhythm and blues bands. In 2000, he relocated to Kiel. Since then, he has landed with bands such as Soulfinger, Soundbehörde, Das Beben, and Wolf Barsch, eventually joining Rumba Santa!
Started with the trumpet, moved to bass guitar in 1992. From 1991 to 1994, he had his first band experience with the band Îndeans Rock Band (Istanbul / Turkey). Since 1999, he has been playing with various bands in Germany.
After lessons with Rebaretto on the congas and timbales, Claudio played with the Piola Rumba Stars. He is one of the first members of Rumba Santa and also plays percussion with SonSonero.
Started as a dancer of folklore and popular Cuban music on TV in Cuba. In Kiel, he initially worked as a dance teacher and was initially a member of the band Poco Loco and the Piola Rumba Stars. He is now a singer in the band Mi Salsita and Rumba Santa.
Ayú Sita began at the age of 17 as a singer in a regional band in her home country of Venezuela called Las Rosas Negras, from the genres of grunge, punk, and alternative rock. Then, when she moved to Germany, she was the singer of the bands Los Jacintos, Pachamama, and Rumba Santa, where she currently sings as the lead and backing vocalist.
It all started as a child with the recorder. Then at 11, he played saxophone in the Preetz wind orchestra. It continued with the big band. At 20, he joined his first ska-punk band. He then moved to Kiel, took lessons from various teachers, tried to play jazz and blues-rock, and eventually landed with Rumba Santa. He has since moved to Flensburg to study music education. Here too, he is musically active, often together with the trumpet player Hinnerk.
Kosta was trained as a purely classical musician in Ukraine and played a purely classical instrument, the tuba! He worked for several years in a symphony orchestra and participated in classical ensemble projects. However, the drive for groove led him to change his life. He left the orchestra, mastered the trumpet and trombone, and as a multi-instrumentalist, he immersed himself in the world of Latin American music...
